Earlier in the year bared witness to many of the beyhive sleeping with one eye open anticipating the release of the first “Drop 1” collection. Yet again, the eye is on the prize as it’s safe to assume that the collection will sell out soon as many items already have. The gender-neutral collaboration between Ivy Park and Adidas became available in-stores yesterday October 30.
The gender-neutral collection features striking performance gear, footwear and accessories. The ‘Queen B’ knows everything she touches turns to gold, and it’s no wonder she modelled the collection herself. The 24-time Grammy winner teased the release on social media days before the drop. She made the announcement through an Instagram post on October 19 simply captioned “DRIP 2 October 30”.
If you’re wondering where it is exactly that you can wear the collection, the answer is in the name. According to Beyonce the collection aims to embrace wherever your park lies. That could be anywhere you are most driven and motivated, or even in joyful stillness- which may be the reality of many of us during these months spent in lockdown.
